The Motorola Research Center acknowledged today, the warning issued by the KayakWisconsin consultancy bureau on a new niche market. “Nokia might have already a lead on us,” -Motorola officials remarked- “but we appreciate this precious feedback”.
Market research shows that the paddler community reaches a spectrum of middle aged professionals, some 200.000 strong, with dazzling purchasing habits. “We were clueless. This is a strong customer segment that has been largely ignored. I think Motorola should address them decisively.”
Motorola announced the creation of two new facilities in Singapore and Bangalore, India, where the new kayak cell phone appications will be developed and produced. “Outsourcing is the key to create real value for our customers if we are to provide them with the seamless mobility solutions they are requesting us” - stated Motorola’s Chief Executive Officer Edward Zander. “These are broadband embedded systems and wireless networks we are talking about,” -replied Zander when questioned about the fear of lay offs in the Illinois factories. “I aim to understand the costumer.” -explained Zander, who has been known for bringing zip and focus to an enterprise that for too long has been viewed as slow, inward-looking and prone to stumbles.
KayakWisconsin’s chairman held early this morning, a wireless press conference while offshore. Breathing agitatedly, his statements were interrupted due to battery failure. After replacing a spare one from his personal flotation device, strong electromagnetic interference stemming from his gps prevented a clear reception.
